CINCINNATI, OH – 10XTS is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Bates to its Advisory Board. With an impressive background in telecommunications, cybersecurity, and blockchain technology, Bates brings a wealth of expertise and a visionary approach to furthering 10XTS’s mission to transform digital asset infrastructure and blockchain applications.
Chris Bates is recognized in the industry as a telecommunications and cybersecurity specialist, with a commitment to leveraging technology for societal impact. His academic journey began with a B.S. in Psychology from Indiana University (2007), followed by a M.S. in Telecommunications (2009), where he focused on immersive mediated environments and developed digital algorithms that created music in response to human interaction. His passion for cybersecurity led him to pursue an M.S. in Cyber-Security for enterprise-scale organizations from Colorado Technical University, completed in July 2016.
Currently, Bates serves as Chief Security Officer and President at Bitland Global, a groundbreaking project that uses blockchain technology to record and register land titles, especially in areas where land ownership disputes and unregistered land pose challenges to economic development. By working to digitize land records, Bitland Global is unlocking capital in developing countries, promoting transparency in government, and driving economic growth in disenfranchised regions. Bates frequently speaks on these initiatives and the transformative potential of blockchain at conferences worldwide.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chris Bates to our Advisory Board. His extensive knowledge of cybersecurity and dedication to leveraging blockchain technology for global advancement aligns perfectly with 10XTS’s mission to drive meaningful, positive change through technology,” said Michael Hiles, CEO of 10XTS.
In addition to his technological and professional achievements, Bates is also an accomplished musician, actively composing and performing under Strong Roots Records.
