CINCINNATI, OH – 10XTS proudly announces their win of the HackCincy “Data is Beautiful” Award for developing a groundbreaking private blockchain network in just 24 hours. Competing among talented developers, the 10XTS team built a solution for professional certification and licensing credential verification, taking home the $1,000 prize sponsored by Cincinnati-based data management company Astronomer and its CEO, Ry Walker.
Using Hyperledger Fabric as the foundation, 10XTS designed an application network solution for credential verification in HR and hiring processes. The team implemented a network structure with nodes for different stakeholders: end users, HR or hiring managers, and certifying authorities. This innovative network allows hiring managers to request and receive verified certification or licensing information for potential hires, dramatically reducing the manual administrative time needed for background checks.
The network token acts as a metadata wrapper, allowing the storage and retrieval of critical data—such as license information, audit trails, and documents—within the application wallet. Extending Hyperledger’s functionality, the team developed proprietary credentialing code, and is considering releasing it as CredentialFabric, a product on the Hyperledger platform. This tool will provide blockchain developers with a streamlined permissioning system, enhancing credential verification processes across various industries.
